A Gamer’s Life Update #9

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all coping well in the current situation and staying safe. I just wanted to write a quick update post to let you know what’s going on at the moment. I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks, sorry about that, but I have been very busy with university work. The good news is that my History dissertation is due next Tuesday, which means that I’ll have a good deal of pressure off my shoulders and more time to work on blog content.

I still need to finish my last three ‘Games of the Decade’ posts, which I can’t wait to talk about and share my thoughts. I have a number of others ideas for content and a few reviews I need to write. I should be back to a more regular posting schedule from next week.

In terms of games I’ve been currently playing to take my mind of things, there have been a few. I’ve recently got back into Elder Scrolls Online which is such a brilliant MMO and I can’t wait for the Greymoor expansion in June. I played the sublime Ori and the Will of the Wisps, a stunning and engaging metroidvania. I published my review which you can check out here! I’ve also been slowly building up my island of New Hope in Animal Crossing New Horizon. So far: my Orchard is almost complete (missing oranges), I have extended my home with two extra rooms and now have 5 villagers settled. I have really enjoyed the slow and gradual gameplay, coming back each day to do little tasks and getting daily Nook miles.

Thank you for reading this little update and I can’t wait to finally hand in my dissertation next week, the biggest piece of work I have ever done. I really look forward to getting back to writing content for the blog. For all things gaming, stay tuned to Honest Gamer.

  1. Good luck with your diss! Mine has become something I’m loving to do! But it’s taking up so much time and energy that I cannot wait to hand it in… also a bit nervous to hand it in though…

      1. I’ve got another month roughly till mine has to be in, so I’m plodding through it a few hours a day. So I can imagine how good that relief is going to be! Hope it goes well for you man! 😀
