March – Honest Review

Well, here we are again with another month finished. Just like with February, I wanted to do another month review of the blog and also highlight some great content from other bloggers I’ve seen over March. Let’s get started.

Blog Posts and Statistics

February – Honest Review – This was the first post of this type I’ve done. I gave an overview of the month, including what went great and content plans for the future.

Sunshine Blogger Award – I was tagged to answer some really amazing questions and it was a lot of fun to write.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Review – My only game review of the month. I really enjoyed my time with this game, even if it didn’t live up to the original, story-wise.

FromSoftware Games Ranked – I have become a big fan of FromSoftware over the last few years after playing all of their modern games. I decided to do my own ranking of them, with some ‘controversial’ opinions you could say.

February was the best month for my blog, but March has been even better, with the most views and visitors. Thank you for all the support so far, it means a lot and I hope you have and continue to enjoy the content.

Rapid Reviews UK

I was able to publish two more game reviews on the website, with one being a pleasant surprise, while the other was a mundane adventure. It has been so great writing for this website and all the writers, editors and rest of the team have been amazing.

A Hero and a Garden Review – Despite the dull gameplay, the actual narrative was a surprise strength of the experience. It’s sweet, humorous and has a lot of heart.

Micetopia Review – This metroidvania game has a strong emphasis on nostalgia and it simply isn’t enough. With a minimalist story and clunky mechanics, this adventure didn’t have much going for it aside from the aesthetic.

Great Content From Other Bloggers

Persona 5 | Character Tier List – Meghan wrote this really great list that is a great read for any Persona 5 fan out there.

I want a Real Estate on Paradise: Reviewing Video Game Castles – This was such a fun and creative piece that was simply joy to read.

Valiant Hearts – PS4 Review – A great review that provides a lot of detail.

What I Want to Come to the Gen IV Remasters – I am super excited for the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes later this year. Emily gives some things she hopes she sees included/improved upon from the original.

Top 5 Games From the Last 5 Years – Two of the games included in this list I absolutely loved, I wonder if you can guess which ones? An overall strong list.

What’s to Come in the Future?

I have at least two reviews planned for the blog in April, Maquette and Bravely Default 2. I loved both of these games and I can’t wait to share all of my thoughts with you. I haven’t decided fully what else I’ll be doing, but I will also be writing more content for Rapid Reviews UK as well.

Thank you all so much for reading and supporting this blog over the months and years. It has been so rewarding and fun, so I hope you all continue to stick around. What have you all been playing recently? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Stay safe and stay tuned for more gaming content like this.

  1. Thank you so much for featuring my post!

I’ll probably pick up Miles Morales at some point! I really wanna enjoy it, but I loved the original so much that I’ll get the feeling this one is a bit more “stand alone DLC” and I don’t really want that feeling.

Not that into FromSoftware games myself as I can’t play that consistently, with twitchies etc! Still an interesting list to read! I am looking forward to the bravely default review!

    1. Don’t mention it, I really liked your post.

Yeah, Miles Morales is great, but it does feel like standalone dlc in some respects. It isn’t long enough to flesh out the story and characters properly.

I really liked Bravely Default 2, it’s probably one of my favourite Switch games now. I’m looking forward to writing the review.
